RB3011UiAS-RM is not showing USB Stick anymore

Hello,

since I upgraded my RB3011UiAS-RM to RouterOS v6.45.5 it does not recognize the SanDisk Ultra Fit 128 GB anymore. Before I upgraded everything worked fine.

Then I downgraded to RouterOS v6.45.3 because this was the previous version where everthing worked. I applied the old configuration from the backup. But even back on the old packages version and firmware version it does not show the USB stick in the Disks list anymore.

I tried the USB stick on other computers and it’s working fine. I also tried several different USB devices on the Routerboard but with no success.

What I’m doing wrong?

Which way the RB is not recognising the stick? Does it show under /system resources usb? Any pluged device should show there even if device isn’t supported in ROS whatsoever.
If it does but doesn’t show as disk, then you’ll have to reinitialize it … if the USB device doesn’t show under USB devices, then it might be that there’s some hardware dammage?

I’m not sure how the list looks like when the USB stick is working. This is list is without any devices plugged in.

Before I upgraded I always saw the USB stick in

Even if it was not initialized. This Routerboard is a few weeks old. I bought it in mid July.

Nope, your RB doesn’t seem to notice the USB device. Here’s how it looks on my RBD52G when USB flash disk is plugged in:

Just for fun of it, I plugged a Huawei smart phone to one of my RB951Gs:

and phone didn’t really export any of its USB services, it was set to use USB for charging only.

I factory reset the Router and reapplied the configuration from backup but still not working. Seems like the USB is gone with the upgrade.

Edit: the hEX Routerboard is recognizing the same USB stick.
