RB3011UiAS-RM

Hi, I’m mounting a lab and want to have two wan connections one of 300Mb and 1 on 50Mb. The idea is to use the 50Mb one for backup in case of failure.

I will connect about 20 devices though a switch or an external access point.

I’m taking a look at RB3011UiAS-RM or RB2011UiAS-RM and I wonder If I would get the 300Mb bandwith on the LAN (assuming lan clients are Gigabit LAN capable) or if the router will reduce (and how much) the available bandwith.

Thanks

Yes, you’ll get the 300Mbps. But check the RB4011, it’s CPU is more powerfull but lacks the USB port and the VLAN aware switch.

I have a RB3011 and two 300Mbps Internet links, but using failover and load balance, with mangle and QOS, ie. no fasttrack, it is not capable of the 600Mbps combining the two links.

I replaced it with a CCR2004, but a RB4011 should be enough.
