I have search all the way down to the forum, but cant find any thread related to RB333 Performance.
Just tested on my existing link and here are the results:
Wireless Status @ Station:
Upstream Test:
Downstream Test:
Fullduplex Test:
CPU Load still not reaching 100% yet. Am i still able to push my RB333 for bigger throughput ?
Thanks
Try turning nstream on, framer policy=best fit, and enabling polling. I’ve done 30mbit tcp and closer to 40mbit udp on a similar distance link with rb333’s. What antenna/cards are you using? If you got that signal a little better you should be able to squeeze out some more speed..
Thank you so much for your hint on Nstreme. Thats what i need, because those are still without Nstreme Active.
I’m confuse with the Framer setting also.
Did test the Nstreme with Framer Best Fit 3200, enabling poling with enabling the option “Disable CSMA” and the result is just the same. Not much different than without Nstreme.
YOur signal for 5.5km is very bad. You may want to check your cables / antenna’s, perhaps change frequency. you should see -69 / 70 for that distance, if not lower.
Cables are okay. Antenna i doubt. Because i didnt knew the exact range frequency.
I just told by my wlan vendor that my antenna able to use from 4.9Ghz to 6Ghz.
Hmm well if your certain that the pigtails, LMR Cables are good then you need to check your alignment / obstructions between the two sites. Normally i would say change frequencies but if youve done that then in all likelyhood it is alignment or an obstruction.
The other possibility is that there is some Motorolla Canopy gear between your sites on 5ghz. This has caused us major problems in the past and we couldnt see it when scanning for other networks.
Another possibility is the radios. What radios are you using? What type of antenna and Cable?
Mikrotiks 22DB flat panels would be ideal for a link this range with LMR400 and R52 radios.
interference is also a point that you should check, because indonesia has a lot of wireless player very interefered environment.. try to use smaller angle antenna (grid) and try changing the frequency to see whether it’s the interference problem.
my suggestion.. use 2 RB333 + 2wlan, do nstreme dual on each RB333 and a bonding interface for both of them. you would get much higher and stable throughput.
