I would just like to know if anyone else have also experienced the radio connectors on the RB333 that is made of plastic and not metal like the old ones break, especially on the second radio connector. I’m talking of the retaining pins on the connectors were the radio gets inserted.
Have not had any break off yet. Thanks for the insite now I’ll be more careful.
What I have noticed is that cards that were a little snug fitting into the connectors are now dropping in way to easy. I had one card that didnt come up and I reseated it and it worked. Either the XR2’s are getting thinner or the connector is larger.
I’ve not had any problem with the top port, but we’ve received 1 so far that had the 2nd slot damaged in shipping, and another 2 that had the 3rd slot connectors were all bent up (probably because they stick out of the side of the board so far)
As far as cards fitting in the slots, I’ve got 2 XR3’s here that were VERY tight going into the top slot. I’ve also seen the SR5’s fit tight as well. (tight doesn’t bother me, at least they won’t get knocked loose…)
