per the 2.9 manual you can not run nstreme2 with WDS. Can we make a transparent bridge using 2 RB333 w/RC4 boards in nstreme2 configuration?
Thanks

This would be a good feature, if supported. In our case, we have a bgp session between us and our providers, and a wireless link (rb532/sr5) in the middle, so we can´t do static routing in case of nstreme2, because we lose redundancy, and all the static routes will be impossible to manage. With bridged nstreme2 we can have a very high speed link with an easy configuration.
I dont understand exactly what u want, but nstreme2 interface in bridge make transparent bridging of networks (in my network tested with 2.9.X and 3.0rcX).
Thanks for your replies.
What we are trying to do is to configure RB333 Nstreme2 links appear as a bridge to the network. We want to avoid routing on the 333’s due to the need for high bandwidth requirments.
At this time we have the Nstreme2 link working fine. We can’t figure out how to make the ether interface bridged to the wireless. In v2.9.x we would just use wds but we don’t see how to do that in v3.x
Thanks
Tom
Simple…
/interface bridge add
/interface bridge port add interface=ether1 bridge=bridge1
/interface bridge port add interface=nstreme1 bridge=bridge1
