Anybody seen any issues with using XR (5 & 9) cards in RB 333’s. I have one site that had two XR5’s and one of the cards kept connecting disconnnecting. The problem showed up after switching from a 133 (same XR5) to a new RB333 (ROS 3.3). I installed two SR5’s in the 333 and it is now stable.
Another site was using SR9’s on a RB333 and was working fine. I removed those and installed two XR9’s and now the RB333 shuts off, then will come back on, then shuts off. Same ROS version (3.3).
I want to deploy two RB600’s but need to know if there is an issue using the XR cards in the new v3.3?
I’ve got an rb600 running an XR5 and two running XR9, as well as a few 133c running XR9, no issues.
I have a 333 running an XR9, but I think it was running like RC10 or something, might be 3.3. It isn’t on location yet, still sitting on a shelf.
Earlier I read the XR series uses less power than the SR series, but recently I read otherwise. What is your power supply for the 333 and how many cards, which cards, etc… ?
Box #2 has two XR9’s and one SR5 and is using a 24V POE.
Box #1 - Removed both XR5’s and replaced with two SR5’s. Connection is stable again and not dropping. Added a SR9 to the card to see if it would stay connected and/or shutdown. It’s been running now for the past 5 hours and holding.
Box #2 is still down. Need to climb the tower and replace XR9’s with SR9’s. Didn’t have a problem using SR9’s to begin with. Problems started when I added the XR9’s.
