RB4011iGS+ and a Genexis GPON

I have bought an Routerboard 4011 to replace the hardware from my provider. At the moment i have media converter in use with the Genexis GPON from my provider inserted. The 1GB ethernet interface is connected to my routerboard.

I like to use the GPON directly in the Routerboard and eliminating the need for the media converter. The routerboard recognizes the GPON but an connection is not established. I see almost 100 disconnects in a few minutes and the SFP light keeps blinking. I already set the auto-negotiation to off, the speed to 1GB and Full-Duplex enabled. I know the GPON is not on the compatiblity list. But as far as i can see the GPON satifies the standards.

More information about the GPON can be found https://genexis.co.in/content/uploads/2016/03/Datasheet-10G-204060-km-Saturn-SFP.pdf.

Any tips are welcome.

I think i found my answer: “Note: The RB4011 does not support Passive DAC modules, 1GB copper SFP modules and SFP GPON modules.”

Do i understand correctly that i cannot the use a SFP GPON module with the RB4011 ? Is there still an solution or is the only solution using an media converter?

Try the new rc (switch to testing channel), it has better support for 1Gbit SFP:

Thanks this was the solution. I hope it does not take long for the stable firmware to be released!
