I just tried to migrate an ER-X to an RB4011 and after setting everything up, a relatively simple install, WAN on ETH1, Lan ports on the other ports, NAT, disabling IPv6, setting up a DHCP server with some preset static leases and some dynamic, I noticed that while some of the devices connected where working fine, others would not get assigned an IP address. Either as dynamic IP or if I list their mac addresses in the DHCP server lists. Sometimes even VMs on my proxmox server, some would get an address, others wouldn’t. And if I set the IP address as static on the Hosts, and manually enter an ip address, the connectivity would work, including pinging the RB4011. My two asus routers, used as wifi AP were not able to get an address.
In the DHCP logs I would see some requests being fulfilled, but others would not, would actually not even appear anywhere even when turning on DHCP debug logging.
I’ve since reverted back to the ER-X, but can anyone suggest what I should look at to troubleshoot this?
I had installed the latest version of the RouterOS, 7.16.1.
