RB411 all lights on.

Hi folks.

I’m new at this community and I’m glad to be here.

I have an issue with two RB411 that came to me from a client. I turn on any of them and LEDs from 1 to 4 of 5, the power LED (blue) stay turned on and the lisghts of the ethernet connector don’t work and there are no way to init the RB’s. I have the two power sources, I tried with and without the miniPCI R52.

I was looking for information about how to set a netinstall, I tried it with no luck:

  • Connect the eth cable to the router/switch
  • Assing a valid IP address to the netinstall software
  • Downloaded the last version of routerOS for mipsbe
  • Press the reset button
  • Connect the power supply

Nothing happened.

Please, there are my RB’s dead or can I resuscitate them?

Probably has bad capacitors. Open it, look for bad capacitors, replace them, fixed!

I’ve changed the capacitors and all is ok.
