RB411 help

We have a p2p link of RB411 with the following signals :

Signal Strength : -68 dBm
Tx Signal Strength : -67 dBm
Signal to Noise : 39 dB
Tx/Rx CCQ : 55/17 %
P Throughput : 834 kbps

Is there any possibility to increase the Throughput? Even we have tried changing the band and channels but we get the best SNR in this.

Thanks,
Shaggy

distances? We need more info of the hardware..

if there are a lot of interferences, you can get this signals, then try bigger antenas to minimize problems.

ok, the distance is 9km and what kind of hardware specification do i need to provide. Please let me know. I guess the signal is quit good here!

did you manually set data rates? i suggest you set data rates to default cos of receive sensitivity. also, what is your transmit power on both end?

Data rates were set as default. i’m attaching jpg file of my configuration, please let me knw if any other information needed.

Thanks,
Shaggy

why you use 10MHz channel?

Your Rx CCQ is not acceptable. This radio is having a difficult time hearing the other end. Even the Tx CCQ is not very good.
While the signal strength and SNR is good, the CCQ shows successful radio packets transferred. With only 17% on Rx, you have dropped 83% of your packets so it is not operating well. While I want to see 100% CCQ on my links, most of mine usually operate above 80%. I consider 50 to 60% a marginal link.

I am guessing that you have obstructions in your signal path. Do you have clear LOS? Full fresnel zone clearance?

What polarity are you using?

Tom

Tom! You received my email?

Reduce bandwidth.

Noise is a product of Bandwidth, the bigger the window, the more light you let in.

No dig at you intended, but there are so many people on the forum battling hand over fist to get the highest throuputs and in doing so are using hude ammounts of bandwidth, then they moan that the link becomes unstable.

Reducing the bandwidth at the expense of throuput will decrease the noise floor. SNR will improve and link becomes more reliable and may reach the intended throuputs as per the mode in use.

yeah, good idea. check polarization.
