I recently installed a RB411U coupled with a Huawei E1750 HSPA modem.
Initially, the first connection (ppp-out) was successful, but after a few hours the ppp-out disconnected without any apparent reason.
To remedy the situation I removed the modem (unplugged it and removed the port in system/ports.
Then after a reboot of the routerboard and upon insertion of the modem, a new ppp-out connection is created.
I then apply the settings like dial-out number (*99#), access point (internet) and the masquerade firewall rule.
The connection is established successfully and is operational for 10-15minutes, then disconnects again.
A reboot or shutdown won’t fix it.
I have had a number of successful installations on RB411U and RB411UAHR with various Huawei modems, this is the first unsuccessful one.
I have attached a supout.rif file and I hope everything that is needed is in there.
Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
