RB411 with N card, how many concurrent user...

Hi dude..

If the RB411Ah just with wireless package.

then it work with the 11N card, how many concurrent user it can handle it?
can it handle 200~300 concurrent online user?
as i have no chance to test on it but would like to know.

p/s: This RB411AH just purely work as WiFi AP only.

thanks.

it highly depends on what quality of service you are going to provide.

Let say, can we put a side on the bandwidth delivery, will it when reach 200 user in the AP, the user number 201 and above will not able to connect the AP?

i will disable all the package but remain the system and wireless.

can it be?

thanks.

ang.

with that number of clients connected that AP will not be usable for anything else. I would not recommend to put that amount of users on one AP.

Hi janisk..
we need that such information as we have a event that, there will 7 WiFi coverage zone.
each will required to serve at least 200 concurrent user.

if you say so, then what’s the max user can handle by the RB411AH?

thanks.

it is kind of maximum that wireless interface using 802.11b/g/n can safely work with. Maybe up to 70. but at these numbers do not expect high speed.

just try to put up more wireless interfaces, use sector antennas etc. maybe RB433, so you can have several interfaces per router, so one node can work with 210 clients. (with 70 per interface)

better head to wireless section and search for best practices.
