I have a WDS link, nstrem, 5 dBi antennas, 2 RB411AH@680MHz (firmware 3.25) with 1 Ubiquity XR9 on each, they don’t connect at channel 6.
If I use BandWith 10MHz, 20 MHz,B,G, system connects without problems, if I select a 5 MHz bandwith I work with no problems at 907Mhz(ch4), 912MHz(ch5) and 922MHz(ch7) but if a select 5MHz BW at 917MHz (channel 6) is impossible to connect, then if I change to other channel or BW all works. (same in laboratory and outside)
I’ve tested “the air” with a spectral analizer and I realized that at channel 6 (5MHz) it doesn’t work, but yes at other BW’s
I have change all the Roterboards and wifi cards and problems go on.
Dunno. Just FYI, I’m running on channel 6 in B/G mode, was in 5MHz mode until recent competition fired up and caused interference. 3.20 AP, 3.22 clients.
Its always nice to get that phone call first thing in the morning telling you a link that has been stable for months is down…
Someone put up a new 900MHz AP, knocked out my customers. I changed everyone to B/G mode, 90% of the time they connect at B speeds and it seems stable.
