RB411AR with VAP. Unstable VAP.

Hello,
I have 6 of RB411AR access points with VLANs, real SSID and VAP SSID configured. Each AP has own channel. I see all real SSIDs on each channel simultaneously (6 SSIDs with same name and on individual channel) but Virtual AP has only one visible SSID and channels are jumping from channel to channel.
So it cause problems with ethernet when connected to VirtualAP. :open_mouth:

Real SSID has WPA2PSK. VAP is unsecured. Each SSID are bridged with own VLAN. Then VLANs are trunked to router.

Any ideas?

Hi,

I think VAP has an unidentified bug, I noticed strange things with it, but i’m not able to identify it. But it’s something related to use real and VAPs at the same time and with diferent security profiles (wep and wpa) Finally I found the correct way to use VAP:

Use only Real APs or use only VAPs.

If you want to use VAPs, let the real wlan without config. Select only apbridge and channel, but don’t work with it!

Then, use 2 VAPs instead of 1 real and 1 VAP.

Confirm it work for you too!!! good luck!
