I reset the device by hardware and software and then appear but few days later desappear again. I trayed with another RB411R it is happenig the same thing eventhought I checked the wirless packet list and it is present, and I also installed v.3.28
What could be wrong with the installation or configuration? What can I do? Thank you for your help!

What do the logs show?

Tom

Hi, Thank for your answer,
This is the log,
[admin@MikroTik] /log> print
00:00:17 system, error, critical router rebooted without proper shutdown, probably
power outage
00:00:24 system, info, account user admin logged in via winbox
00:00:32 system, info, account user admin logged in via local

I probe install the new version 3.30, but nothing happened, follows equal,

Thanks you.

please send supout.rif file to support, we will see if it’s a software problem, or hardware.

did you turn it on for long time without attaching an antenna?

I find it difficult to believe two failed in exactly the same way, unless it is something external, like power.
You can check this:
/system health print
and see what the line voltage is…oh, it doesn’t have voltage monitor? :frowning:

ADD: This is from the RouterBoard datasheet:

The RB411R has a very low power consumption rating - only 5.6W, ideal for solar panel installations.

On a solar installation with no voltage monitor, you are inviting a failure.

Do not misinterpret my complaint/request. I am certainly not complaining about the quality of RouterBoard equipment. Only one has failed here, and that was my fault. Well, kinda, now that I think about it. Had that unit had voltage monitor, I would have caught the battery dying before it damaged my router.

Thanks Normis,

I have a device inside the antenna http://www.stationbox.info, all time, never turn it on wihtout connect the antenna.
I use this model of power supply UBI-POE-15-8, this component is provided with ubiquiti NS2.

The equipments was installed in different sites, but with the same configuration.
supout.rar (176 KB)

I had one upgrade to 3.28 show kernel panic and one 3.30 lose wireless interfaces entirely. 3.30 automatically disabled the wireless package, enabling that and restoring from backup fixed it. The 3.28, I flashed back to 3.22, then back to 3.30.

I don’t have a definite answer, just saying I’ve had some issues with 3.28 and 3.30 myself. They are not without issue. Out of 60+ CPE’s, only two had problems, one AP did as well.

From the file it looks like the wireless part is broken, because it doesn’t respond to the driver. this should be handled by warranty repair, if it’s not damaged in a storm, because of improper installation, or running without antenna

Thanks Normis,

I will send the RB411R for warranty to the dealer, so I apreciate your help.

I have the exact same problem, but the system/resource/pci:

[admin@MikroTik] /system resource pci> print

DEVICE VENDOR NAME IRQ

0 00:12.0 Atheros Communications, Inc. AR5006X 802.11abg NIC (rev: 1) 48
[admin@MikroTik] /system resource pci>

The problem is that the Wlan doesn´t appear.
My Log:
00:00:13 system, error, critical System rebooted because of kernel failure
00:00:13 system, error, critical router rebooted without proper shutdown, probably power outage
00:02:50 system, info, account user admin logged in from 169.254.21.102 via winbox
00:03:06 system, info, account user admin logged in from 169.254.21.102 via telnet

Any ideas?
Thanks.
