To whom it concerns
I have wireless link with 1 RB433AH and 2minipciXR5 + 2*32dBi antenna in every side for 30km distance (wlan1 rx/tx signal=-67/-70 and wlan2 rx/tx signal=-64/-67) when i try to “bandwidth test” in every 2links: maximum tx=500kbps an maximum rx=800kbps. how can i increase bandwidth?
PoE output is 24v and 3A.
Config:
Radio1: wlan1 mode=“bridge” frequency=“5180” country=“united state” Band=“5GHz-A”
wlan2 mode=“bridge” frequency=“5300” country=“united state” Band=“5GHz-A”
30km distance is to big.
Try frequency 5745 & use Radio2: wlan1 mode=“station wds”
Radio2: wlan2 mode=“station wds”
If u use RBMetal5SHPn as Radio1: u will get better result.
If I helped you give me karma please I appreciate this
Have you fill in the distance in wireless advanced settings.
Normally stand this to dynamic try on both sites to set the distance on 35 Km
Take Bandwidth 20 MHz.
The signal looks good to me
Xr5 radio cards from Ubiquiti are good radios
yes
i use wds and i changed “wireless protocol” from any to nstream nv2 802.11 and frequency.
bandwidth is for WLAN1=Tx 12Mbps and Rx 8Mbps
bandwidth is for WLAN2=Tx 200Kbps and Rx 8Mbps
Regardless what wireless protocol used, two radio cards into one routerboard using the same frequency band is a bad idea, unless on the 433 you use 900Mhz, 2.4, 5.8ghz radio cards then you may not a large amount of internal interference?
Same problem 5200 - 5700 in on 5.8GHz band so two XR5 (which are a very good radio card) will cause self interference when used into one 433, higher data demand will result in higher interference, best option is to use 1 x 433 = 1 XR5, this is what i have used for years and very little issues,
this plan is my customer`s idea and i want to run it.
i have the same plan for 16 km distance but i cant run it for 30km distance(i can run 2 link separately but i cant run nstream dual link) can you help me?
But as you mention in that post interference is a issue and so does taduikis stating turbo mode is better than bonding,
so what is the the advantage of using nstream Dual, a better solution as you say is to use N and perhaps use XR5 A Mode as a redundancy failover link, this what I am currently doing for my XR5 cards.
