RB433 setup with user dial in account

Hi guys, I am very new to RouterBoard. I have an ADSL Modem connected to my adsl line that is shared between 3 offices. But the modem will freeze due to congestion so I was advice to get a RouterBoard in between the ADSL modem and the other pc. So please I need help with setting up the routerboard. I followed a tutorial in setting out the RB433 as a router but it ends up conflicting ip addresses on my network (Although the modem was connected to eth1 and eth2 was interfering with other pc connected directly to the modem). Please I need help in setting up the RB433 in this manner. My ADSL Modem has ip 10.0.0.2 (DHCP SERVER) Eth1 is connected to my adsl modem which will receive ip address from the adsl modem, I want eth2 to be connected to other office and works as a dhcp server and gives out a different ip (10.10.10.1/24). I dont want pc connected on this port to access my adsl modem (10.0.0.2).

Is there a way that I can create a user account for the pc connecting to the network so that I can regulate their speed. Can i make use of the hostspot feature on the RB433 as well using captive portal with a login page.

Lekan

I think it is time to set up some remote helpdesk for lame IT people. Basic config, nothing more, and then the beginner can look at the config and try to understand what he did wrong.
Gimme me WAN IP and password and I will configure it for’ya. In Skype - macbeton (male, Latvia).
PCs I service are working without me looking after every day, so I have nothing to do anyway. Normi, what do you think? Don’t trust me on that? :smiling_imp:
