Good I’m starting in the world of Mikrotik purchased a set it as ap rb433ah achieve everything going great, but I need to set up a hotspot but I have a problem when I go to the section within the winbox ip I can see the hotspot option, go to console and run / ip hotspot setup and does not work either, I do not have the package installed hotspot would like to know how to install or add it because I urgently needed, upgrade to 4.10 and also I see the hotspot function, the version of the 26.2 finware beforehand appreciate any help q can offer.
What does it “not do” when you run setup? What response are you getting?
Do you have all else set up?
ip/netmasks assigned to the public interface and the hotspot interface
default route in “/ip route”
dns in “/ip dns”, with “allow-remote-requests=yes”
dhcp server (I do anyway) on the hotspot interface.
ntp client if you plan on using any time-dependent stuff like radius.
Connect on the hotspot interface before running the hotspot setup for it and insure you can surf the internet. Then run the hotspot setup.
