I have 2 off RB433GL’s fitted with 2 off each Ubiquity SR71-15’s, I am trying to configure them to use Nstream Dual.
I have got as far as the command line:-
interface wireless nstreme-dual add rx-radio=wlan1 tx-radio=wlan2
rx-band=5ghz tx-band=5ghz rx-frequency=5180 tx-frequency=5300
I get the error line:-
failure: unsupported band for frequency for tx radio
I’ve tried removing the tx parameters and it’s happy with the rx parameters.
Any body help me please?
Further down the commands the MAC addresses have to be entered, do I enter the distant RB433GL MAC in the local RB433GL?
Thank you,
David.
^^ are your ethernet ports plastic as well? I just got mine in, going to be using these with SR71-15 cards. I cannot believe they have plastic ethernet ports. That does not complete the grounding when using with ToughCable with shielded ends and cable.
How much did they really save by using plastic ports. I’ve never seen Mikrotik do something like this, and I’m not happy. Rocket Titanium will be coming out in May. It has GB ports and METAL ethernet port. I may switch this piece of crap out with that when it arrives.
While I think that the amount of cost saving must be fairly minimal, and the hassel they are getting especially for the number of complaints I’ve read about the plastic ethernet connectors must drive them crazy, they do have connection for ground to shielded connectors. If you look at the bottom right/light of the connector you’ll see two metal pressure ‘tabs’ that press against the metal of the shielded ethernet end.
They are not the best connectors, but at the same times I’ve been using tons of RB7xx series with the same plastic connectors and haven’t had a problem yet.
Cheers
Does anybody have Nstream Dual running on an RB433GL?
Can you post or email me the configs please?
David.
