RB433UAHL problems

Hi evryone,

I hope my post is in the goog section.

We bought recently fiftheen RB433UAHL and unfortunately only three of them seems to work fine.
I precise we use RB433UAH for 2 years without main problem. To test our news RB433UAHL I use poe 24V 1A on ethernet port n°1. On my computer antivirus software and firewall are disable and I plug rj45 cable on switch between computer and RB433UAHL.

For the twelve others RB433UAHL, problems are :

  • only one beep and RB433UAHL is no visible in winbox software
  • no beep and RB433UAHL is no visible in winbox software
  • 2 beep but RB433UAHL is no visible in winbox software

I tried to update RouterOS with Netinstall with the good procedure (I ever tested it with the two others RS433UAHL and it works) but Netinstall don’t see the routerboards …

So I don’t know what I could do … Do you have any idea or is it a known material problem ?

Have you after netinstall 1 beep and 2 beeps?

In fact after netinstall there is no beep.

Here how I use netinstall with RB433UAHL :

  • plug computer and RB433 with rj45 cable (port ether1 on RB433)
  • Computer : IP 10.1.1.10 (netmask 255.25.255.0)
  • Netinstall : network booting 10.1.1.5 (boot server enable)
  • Push reset button and plug poe on RB433 in same time
  • Wait for led ACT stop blink and loose reset button

During and after that there is no beep from RB433UAHL …

Thank you Plsken for the link.

I tried one time more to install RouterOS with Netinstall without success. After that I plugged directly rj45 cable between my computuer and RB433UAHL (no switch) : four of them could start ! Uncredible, with a switch RB433 couldn’t start ! I could install RouterOS 6.21.1 and RB433UAHL seem work. But there are four RB433UAHL which don’t start even installing RouterOS 6.21.1 with Netinstall : only one beep and impossible to connect with winbox. Have you another idea ?

Try again with netinstall.
If you have the netinstall procedure it is normal that those beeps 1 time.
Wait a few minutes until you see the drive appear.
Try to put back the RouterOs.
