I’ve bought rb450 board with L4 license. I want to setup hotspot with custom login page for both wireless and wired clients and I want to limit bandwidth usage per client. I have cable modem with dynamic IP address and TP-Link 941 wireless router and of course switch with 24ports. Can someone suggest how to setup this? Thx

ok I read a little about hotspot setup, I will try today. The info I didn’t found is how to setup custom login screen? Also I don’t understand wireless part, since I’m using external Tp-Link wireless router. Should I connect wireless directly to Mikrotik or I can connect it to switch also. Once more, both wireless and wired client need to use login before they continue on internet.
I’ve found login screen when I connect to RouterOS via ftp. Also regarding external wireless router, I’ve connected to separate wan/lan port on mikrotik. For that purpose I’ve created another hotspot with diffrerent IP range. For now it is working
Can someone please comment my setup? Is it ok to use 2 hotspots on different ports? I didn’t know how to connect both wireless and wired clients using 1 hotspot so I created 2 with different IP ranges. Thx
create a bridge. Then add the two connections you want your hotspot on (say, ether2, ether3) as ports. Then add the hotspot to the bridge. Then you have one hotspot shared with both connections.
