RB450 factory-firmware

Hi team!

I have gotten an old RB450 whose factory-firmware version is 2.20. Reviewing the product web page I find that there is a version 3.41 to download (ar7100_3.41.fwf). Can I perform this boot upgrade or is version 3.41 only for the new RB450G models?

According to your output your device is already on the newest firmware available.

current-firmware matches upgrade-firmware => you are up to date. Factory-firmware is the initial version that was installed on this device in factory. It just tells you, you can’t downgrade the firmware below this version.

Mikrotik changed bootloader naming to match routeros version and decide to put bootloader into routeros package while ago for raised confusion between users and security purposes. Bootloader downgrade possible but not recommended.

As infabo mentioned before you are using newest firmware. Keep bootloader version closest to your routeros version.

@infabo Thank you very much for the clarification, I thought it was like on some devices that have a bootloader and then the operating system.

@ID Thank you very much for your response, I am starting out in the Mikrotik world and I am really very happy with everything it allows you to do. And from what I see the forum is very active, I hope to be contributing some knowledge soon!

Thank you,

I was able to update it! Thank you very much for the help …
