RB450 hangs when configured as a switch

I’ve had an RB450 sitting on a shelf gathering dust for some time.

I’m having a great time installing RB750s :smiley:

So I wondered what would happen if I configured four ports on the RB450 as a switch.

I set it up the same way as the default settings on the RB750 and it works fine for a couple of minutes. Then the unit just hangs.

Apart from the obvious - return it to it’s previous config - is there any advice that anyone can give me?

What type of switch chip is it? Do you have any other configuration on this board apart from

/interface ethernet set ether_x master-port=ether_y
