RB450G hardware quality issue

Hi,

I have a 4 years old RB450G which started today to have some issues.

At first it kept restarting itself on and on.
Now, if I plug it in, all LEDs are flashing.

Those 2 electrolytic caps near the center are swollen at the top.

I wonder why couldn’t they use better quality ones.

I’m going to replace them, but I’m wondering if any of the chips could have been damaged by these faulty caps.
The router restarted itself for around 6-8 hours until I got home.

Just replace the faulty caps, you should be fine. When I bought my RB450G, I replaced those capacitors with sanyo os-con. It has been working for many years.
