RB450G max wan speed?

Hello,
faced with a problem … I have a fast internet with 300Mbps bandwidth, but give only Mikrotik 100Mbps.Question for you guys, it is possible to access all of 300Mbps? :unamused:

http://routerboard.com/RB450G

Look at the numbers at the bottom.

Hmm ok…as if that would make all the 300Mbps?

Refering to http://routerboard.com/pdf/275/rb450g.pdf you should be able to get a lot more. Still if you use a lot of connection tracking and firewall functions this would reduce your troughput. I’m wondering since you get 100mb if it could be a speed problem with the interface? Have you checked if the auto selection have selected 100mb instead of 1gb?

check with

/interface ethernet monitor ether1

From my router now.

[admin@xx.xx.no] > /interface ethernet monitor ether1
                 status: link-ok
       auto-negotiation: done
                   rate: 1Gbps
            full-duplex: yes
  default-cable-setting: standard

Interesting…
My router write:
[admin@MikroTik] > /interface ethernet monitor ether1
status: link-ok
auto-negotiation: done
rate: 1Gbps
full-duplex: yes

But speed

And directly without the router

missing more than half

Mm.. are you sure that speedtest could give you a accurate measurement with such a good line? If you try with a computer attached to the line instead? Or turn of the connection tracking in the rb450g? Have you testet elsewhere? (some other speedtest or with ping speed against your providers router ) Have you tested the line for a periode with graphing or mrtg?

Nop,i`m using default config, but my router for now not happy with me :frowning:
Maybe you need a new configuration? Please help me.
Edit:
w00t i upgraded to newest 5.9 version and all fixed :exclamation:

but my modem wan can connect internet 200mb
can u help me
my email is neotonight@hotmail.com
please help thank you

Check wan connection, should be 1Gbps.

First, you should enable Fasttrack.
But even then I doubt if the RB450G can handle 300 mbit/s.
The CPU on this router is not very fast compared to modern routers.

I’m pretty sure it can route up tu 500mbps but I’ve never tested. I hhave one in the basemen in storage. May I’ll make time to test it with my 500/25mbps connection.
