My ISP provides 100mbit internet access through PPTP with no encryption. I need a router that can connect to ISP using PPTP and share this connection to LAN with upto 5 PCs. Will be 450G sufficient for this? Can it handle such routing: from lan to pptp at 100mbit?

I think you will be challenged, depending on how small packets you send (file transfers: ok, voip etc. not).
I would likely go 1100. AH. Or x2. Or Atom based. 100mbit is a LOT of processing for encryption.
Thank you for your opinion. I’m also thinking about atom based solution + routeros. My current router, based on same Atheros cpu as 450G, can’t handle such load. Even with all disabled services (firewalls, qos, etc)… Now it’s clearer for me, since before now, I didn’t found any topics/reviews over the internet about pptp performance on 450G.

My setup:
PPTP client (RB751U-2HnD) <—> my ISP (100Mb link, ISP promises up to 100Mb on PPTP). Firewall enabled (few rules).
Torrent download up to 5-6 MiB/s, Mikrotik CPU load is about 100%. Looks like need something more powerfull =)
