I`m having this router for a while and it worked ok , recently i upgraded my line from standard 100 Mbps to 300 Mbps connection that it is using ppoe and it seems that no matter whatever i do on the settings i cannot get more than 150 Mbps on tests with it .
So far i put my airport extreme time capsule that gets that 300 ad i would like to see if there is anything that i can tune to have my speed on the microtik or not.
with the firewall rules on it does not jump over 130 Mbps and if i put all rules off i get max 160 Mbps.
So far i`m a beginner with microtik i had that configured by a friend, today i did a full reset and i just put the ppoe client , did a test and still 170 Mbps max on clean setup.
My question is , is this router realy gigabit and if yes how much i can get from it , and what do i have to set in order to have it functional.
In the same time, do you have any ideas for temperature cooling options ? so far it is running on 60 C and it`s quite hot all the box, you can barely keep it in your hand.
So far i dont mind having that erased at all an reconfigured from 0 as long as it works properly, im planning to change the plan to 500 Mbps or even to 1Gbps but i need to make sure that i can get what i pay from the current router.
