I have a RB493, running v3.25, 3 ports in a bridge … 1 port is to my internal fixed wireless network (100+ clients spread over backhaul, APs etc), the other 2 are upstream to 2 routers connected to the net. I’m just using the RB493 as a switch
(a seperate point I have is how to correctly create a h/w switch, but I’ll come back to that!)
this sw runs fine, except from time to time (I assume, based on some type of load/traffic/storm/broadcast/num of packets) .. the RB493 crashes. I cannot gain access to it, I have to reboot it. Has anyone seen a case like this? I’ve tried using another RB493. The link can hit around 30Mbits
Also, in an attempt to create a h/w switch .. I default RB493, set port 2 and 3 to have a master port of 1 … but it doesn’t seem to work. Is there a trick/sequence?
