RB493AH slows down when switch is configured

Has anyone ever seen an RB493AH slow down when you use the master-port feature to make a switch?

Setup is like this:

PC – 100Mb Switch – RB493AH (doing NAT/firewall) – 100Mb Switch – RB1000 – GigE internet connection

If the 493 is just doing NAT/firewall, the PC’s can download/run speed tests and get 50-70Mb+ throughput. Turn on the master-port feature, and downloads/speed tests go down to 4-5Mb. Tried two different 493AH boards, same results.

Also just tried it on my home connection which is an RB450, ran a speed test, got ~12Mb download, enabled the master-port to slave a second ethernet interface (nothing was connected to second interface), speed test went down to 4-5Mb. Disabled master-port and speed went right back up to ~12Mb.

Any ideas?

I experience very similar problem. I have RB493 configured as a switch and router. Six ethernet ports are assigned to one master port so they work as a switch. I have three RB333 connected to those ports. These three RB333 can talk to each other (via RB493AH switch) at the full speed - almost 100Mbps in both directions. But if I test bandwidth between any RB333 and RB493AH it is full speed toward RB493AH but only 8Mbps in opposite direction. We use RouterOS version 3.13 and 3.14. Any idea? Thank you.
