I see in the Routerboard settings there is a CPU speed selector. I have a RB493G. If I attempt to set it to 800 MHz, I find I am unable to obtain a DHCP lease from my cable modem. 680 MHz, which was what it was set to when I found this, works fine.
Does 800 MHz cause some functionality to be lost or…?
It can make the board fairly unstable. I have tried it a few times messing around and never had real great results.
Rb433ah works “all the times” I tried.. Rb411ah or 493 boards had problems sometimes.. But problems with rebooting, not booting, etc. Routeros working strange is not related with this.. Not in all my cases.
