RB500 daughterboard ethernet causes crash

I have 3 routerboard 500/564 combos. when running RC5 or RC6, the following occurrs with each (all of them):

  1. boot router
  2. plug ethernet cable into any port on 564 that belongs to a bridge group
  3. router crashes & reboots after 4-8 seconds

if the ethernet cable is already plugged in when the router boots, no problems occur (it doesnt reboot)

RC4 does not show the problem

The correct reporting on the PHY status and setting the PHY for VIA was added in RC5 I think – it also has some bugs it seems. We will get that fixed for the next release.
