RB5009 Cant access router interface

hi, im kinda new to Mikrotik. I bought the RB5009 and tried to access the RouterOS. At first I logged in and changed the password. Then I pluged my cable to another port. After that I cant access the interface at 192.168.88.1 (browser saying it cant be reached). Also the network changed to an unidentified network.

I tried resetting the router or changing the computer, but nothing is helping. Also cant access the router via WinBox and MAC address.

Am I doing something wrong?

TYpically in a default setup ether1 is setup for wan and ether2 for the LAN.

If you can’t access via MAC address, first make sure that you have disabled all your virtual Ethernet interfaces, like VMware, VirtualBox, etc.
