RB5009UG+S+ crashes on every reboot, Routeros 7.1.2

I have a RB5009UG+S+ running Routeros 7.1.2 and every time I reboot the router through Winbox or ssh the router crashes and I loose access. In order to get it back online I have to physically unplug the power.

Is anyone experiencing a similar issue ?

No.
Check what is the configuration of “/system routerboard settings boot-device”

These are my settings:

              auto-upgrade: no
               boot-device: nand-if-fail-then-ethernet
             cpu-frequency: 1400MHz
             boot-protocol: bootp
       force-backup-booter: no
               silent-boot: no
      protected-routerboot: disabled
      reformat-hold-button: 20s
  reformat-hold-button-max: 10m

I don’t see anything suspicious.

Yes, it looks OK.

You have to check with console cable what prevents the booting process.

The RB5009 does not have a console port.

Indeed, any other way to debug?

Have you tried reverting to the default configuration and seeing us the issue still occurs? I have two RB5009 and have not experienced your issue at all. Could be that you have bad hardware or it could be your config somehow.

You can use “USB to RS232” cable.
