Greetings,
I’ve got an RB532 AP unit, with an SR2; it’s been deployed for about 2 months now. We’re starting to see the issues documented in this thread.
I’ve performed the steps suggested (specifically enable periodic calibration, set TX powers as specified by the initial poster). Signal levels seem about the same on the active CPE, which is a good sign! We’re still checking to make sure that everything is working OK and if it has resolved the complaints we were getting.
However, I’m looking at alternate solutions in case this doesn’t pan out. Of course, nothing else has 400mW output power so I would need an amplifier to meet this power. So, my choices seem to be using a CM9 with an amp, or a 2511MP with an amp. Am I correct in interpreting the forums and documentation that the output power of the 2511MP cannot be adjusted? I plan on using a 6dB pad to reduce the input power to the amplifier, to maintain specifications.
The thing is, I’m not sure which would be better - CM9 or 2511MP. My CPE is almost entirely composed of CB3+ units, so it seems to me that a 2511MP would be better - but I have also read a few posts on the forum about the 2511MP not being all that well supported by MT.
So would I be ok with the 2511MP, or would the CM9 be better?
