We’ve had a really strange thing happen this week.
Over the course of 24 hours, we’ve had THREE rb532’s, all in three different locations, fail.
The symptoms are the same: It quits passing traffic on ether2 and then starts to randomly reboot.
I’m guessing that they were manufactured around the same time and have just failed at the same time. I’ve seen this type of behavior with hard drives… or is this just an incredible coincidence?
Just curious do you have the latest version installed on three of them, I mean MikroTik RouterOS 3.30 or 4.3.
Do you have the same problem present with these versions?
sergejs; sorry, I don’t have this problem, just pointing to the point that this is not an isolated incident, it appears to be effecting others as well.
I’d love to have an RB600 though. I’m currently having to use a RB450G in an orphanage and hospital in Uganda, approximately 200 staff members use the network and severely limited bandwidth of 100kilobits/s. Don’t want to start web cache on NAND or SD (I’ve set it up and am moving project so don’t want to leave something that may break!), so we need to wait for a donation to get a properly cacheable RB (-:
