We plan to use RB532A to aggregate 3 links of 20Mbps each. We are currently doing it with a P3 server which is a bit too bulky for remote site environment.
Do you think RB532A can handle link bonding of 3x 20Mbps? Any experience to share? What is the max. speed and the # of link RB532A can handle?
That’s a pretty random answer - neither on-topic nor accurate?
I’d say you’re being a bit ambitious with the RB532 if you plan to aggregate those links & use to their full extent… I doubt the cpu will cope with that traffic…
Why not go one of the mini-ITX routes with a bit more cpu?
Actually we want to aggregate 3x 20Mbps using Ethernet (RB532A with ethernet extender), with a total aggregated throughput of 60Mbps. Anyone tried that?
If you’re just combining 3 ethernet links, perhaps a managed ethernet switch like the HP procurve 25xx or 26xx would do? I think they load balance when setting up trunk group with multiple ports. You can download the manual from their webpage to read more of course.
