Is there some documents that show the performance differences between the RB532A and RB230? The RB230 has a lot more memory but what about thoughput performance, CPU util, etc?
RB500 is faster. They are different platforms, 230 is X86, 500 is MIPS. they can’t be directly compared, they perform differently at different tasks.
I’m looking for benchmark comparisons betweent he two. If an RB230 is behind an AP doing queuing and forwarding, will it be faster/slower than a 532? How about in core routing implementation at higher data throughput? The CPU architecture is completely different but that should not affect a benchmark comparison. Is there some data somewhere?
A good rule of thumb is more ram is better for backhauls and more cpu is good for aps.
