rb532a with sr2 problem URGENT!!

Hello Guys ,

i have a router board 532a with one SR2 Card . I cant broadcast with SR2 , I dont know why :frowning: Can anyone help us why we can not broadcast with SR2 . BEfore I start with SR2 , i was broadcasting with NMP+ 200mW but its up to 400mW , anyway my power supply now is 19V , 3.17A DC … on NMP+ it works but with SR2 I am getting a ver very very weak signal with no ping .,

I appreciate you help in advance .

Thank you

regards,

Ghassan

Please anyone can help ?

Could be DOA, could be you have the antenna set to the wrong side. You aren’t posting enough information to work with.

I already tested NMP+ cards with antenna 24dB , the same things are with SR2 ..

They told me that this card works only for 2.4 ghz from channel 1 to channel 11 , anyway I already tested it with 2.3 ghz and 2.4 ghz , the same ..very weak signal and no ping .. customers can register -62 but no ping , note that the signal is very very weak , I dont know why ..

What do you want me to post here ?

So on the client side it reads -62 but very weak on the AP?

they can register at this signal , but they can only stay connected for only 5 seconds and then register again and again , at client side I can only see the signal as very weak …poor signal , by replacing from Sr2 to NMP+ everything works fine and the signal comes Good .

Here is my Export settings :

Change the antenna connection on the card to the outside port (u.Fl) see the data sheet:
http://www.ubnt.com/downloads/sr2datasheet.pdf
I will assume that you have tested the antenna cable and the antenna polarization with a known good card.

do you want me to change the cable or pig tale , or change the antenna connection ?

I am already using it .. where is my problem then , I am near my panel few meters and the signal is really bad so I had to change the tx-power to 28 , still but better ..

You’ve got this all screwed up.

To start change the band to 2.4ghz-b

change the antenna connector to “B” if you are using the larger connector on the card “A” if you are using the smaller connector.

Switch the data rates back to default instead of configured.

Disable compression.

Change the power rate back to default before your burn the card up if you haven’t already.

Change hardware retries to 7

this settings are new , I changed them since yesterday , but before it was default , everything by default , also I have changed the card SR2 , afraid if it damaged , the same ..

The SR2 has two connectors on it. Which one are you using?

I am using its main (u.Fl) …

You need to do a system reset and start over

yes everything now has changed to default …

and also Antenna_A is selected to UFL antenna connector …

also I have 2 SR2 CARDS .. the two of them with the same performance , now my customer can see the SSID but no ping , also got it better but I was supposed to get a better power or better signal .

It seems that I have one mistake  , Ihave to bridge it , I thought it saved my old settings if *** , anyway Thank you Guys .. But I can see it only can broadcast on 2.4 ghz , better performance , Thanks

Ghassan,

We have stopped using the SR2 after several failures. It becomes deaf after a while.. Clients can see it fine but clients cant see it very good.. Looses around 20-30dbm incoming.

Henrik

Old post, already answered. It gets old when you post just to trash hardware.

I have hundreds of SR2’s deployed. Since leaving the TX power settings along and properly grounding everything I have only had to replace 1.
