rb532r5: green led on eth2

hello.
my rb532 has got the led on eth2 active when the device is starting.
with an ethernet cable in it’s dark. It seems that it swapped the function..
I tried to reset.
Somebody knows how to fix that?
Damaged?

It sounds like hardware damage.

You might try to salvage it by using netinstall to format and reinstall RouterOS. But more likely the port is bad.

Tom

I note same thing on lightening damaged RB Check before is it mPCI work fine then replace VT6106

I have debian linux 2.6 running on the device.
I think if the device shows up a defect eth2 led on boot & on booting linux, too. It’s damaged and recovering RouterOS will not help.

Or does RouterOS in NAND fix led behavior?

Stick serial cable, go to RB BIOS. If you have link and no cable connected that is PHY hardware problem.
