RB600 5ghz p2p link connection stable just for 12hours

Hi,

I’ve just started to work with MT in Slovakia (Europe)

In last days I’ve some weird problems with my RB600.

Infrastructure description:

1.st p2p link:

5ghz p2p link from one RB600 1x R52H (24dBi antenna) (System Identity = “ZSR”) to the 2.RB600 4x R52H (2x 24dBi antenna) (SI= “JENO”)
link is long 3.5 km signal quality 100% without any problem during last month

2.nd p2p link:
5ghz from 2.RB600 4x R52H (24dBi antenna) (SI= “JENO”) to the 3. RB600 4x R52H (2x 24dBi antenna) (SI=“ZS”)
link is long 700m signal quality if it’s connected 100% without any problem

3.rd p2p link:
5ghz from 2.RB600 4x R52H (27dBi antenna) (SI= “ZS”) to the 3. RB600 4x R52H (2x 27dBi antenna) (SI=“ML”)
link is long 3 km signal quality 100% without any problem during last month, uptime 12days

Problem description:

the last 2 days I’ve seen very interesting things the 3.rd RB600 (SI=“ZS”) is working 12hours and after this the connection is lost every morning between 8 - 9 a.m. and the connection is again alive after 12hour at 8 - 9 p.m. the other p2p connection is stable and working fine from (SI=“ZS”) to an other RB 600 (SI=“ML”)

could you give me an explanation why it is so?
I brought this RB600 with license

thx in advance

Hi,

perhaps you have a script or a timer and this is the reason.. but is strange. Put the clock on time and look if there is aproblem at the same hour or always every 12 hours.

I recommend you that put TX power to the minimum with the 700 m link.. U use 24dBi antenna and a 350mW card. You can cook a chicken there..
With this you can caonnect about 40-70km link : P

I don’t have any script on this RB600
at the same hour or always every 12 hours.
the time is set to synchronize itself from my local debian server

it was so set from the beginning because I don’t want to coock `o)

thx for reply do you have an other idea? or do you need more information? If, then what kind of infomation?

thx in advance

Then I don’t know nothing about this, sorry.

Martín.

There was a bug fix recently for resets under heavy loads.. don’t recall which rev. you may want to up date. Depending on the path it could be fade but it would be pretty extreme. Fade is most prevelent in the spring and fall. I’ve seen drops of over 40db but on longer links.

Hi,
I’ve upgraded the RouterOs, changed the cards, all cables…and it’s working, but I didn’t get the reason for my problem..

Thx guys for help!
