RB711-2HnD Dead?

I was doing a wireless install today and at the first the radio, RB711-2HnD worked fine, only it couldn’t find any of the AP’s during a wireless scan, with radio pointed directly at the tower with a completely unobstructed line of sight.

I than tried to update the firmware as they are a little out of date, something happened during firmware upgrade, no power was lost so not sure what happened, but the radio is currently a paper weight, it doesn’t power up or anything. Tried several different PoE’s and Cat5 Cables, no change.

Is there any way to save this device? Or at least get it back up and running to diagnose any potential problems it may have?

Oh, the replacement radio, same thing, connected instantly, -55 on the AP.

try use netinstall to recover your device ( http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Netinstall ) …maybe you need to install a new operating system …good luck

I’m not sure I’m going to be able to do that. Currently I cannot power nor communicate with this radio.

I haven’t yet tried the reset switch on the board itself…

What do you mean by “cannot power”? Does that mean, no LED are illuminated? How do you know there is no power?
