RB750: firmware upgrade or not?

Hello.

I’ve just updated my RB750GR3 to the lastest RouterOS stable release:

uptime: 21m46s
version: 6.43.16 (long-term)
build-time: May/14/2019 11:40:52
factory-software: 6.36.1
free-memory: 222.5MiB
total-memory: 256.0MiB
cpu: MIPS 1004Kc V2.15

But checking my firmware…:

routerboard: yes
board-name: hEX
model: RouterBOARD 750G r3
serial-number: 6F3A0731574A
firmware-type: mt7621L
factory-firmware: 3.35
current-firmware: 3.35
upgrade-firmware: 6.43.16

Is there any firmware changelog? is it correct that the latest version is 6.43.16… jumping from 3.x ? should I proceed with the upgrade?

Historically the RouterBoot firmware and the main RouterOS had unrelated version numbers, and a changelog here https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/RouterBOOT_changelog

Mikrotik changed the RouterBoot firmware version numbering so it now matches the RouterOS version number, and AFAIK there isn’t any way to tell if any changes have actually been made to the firmware other than any comments in the main changelog.

I see no 3.35 in that changelog and the newer versions (3.39 - 3.40) don’t mention at all the rb750 board, so if there’s no a valid reason I will stay with what I have today.

I always upgrade the firmware as well when I upgrade ROS on devices I have or had, without problems. Yes, some time ago they changed numbering to match that of ROS. I remember somewhere they advise to upgrade both everytime.
