RB750 hotspot with bullet radios as bridges?

Hi,

The task is to make a hotspot for a hotel (10 clients tops but difficult coverage), so I will be using 2 bullets 2MHP (as AP radios) that can connect via UTP to the gateway.
Is it possible to use RB750 as the hotspot gateway and attach the bullets on the LAN interfaces to bridge the clients ?
My concern is that, according to the routerOS manual, proper hotspot function requires physical wired connection to the client or a registered(?) radio card (does that mean that I should acquire a wireless routerboard instead & use the bullets as repeaters, cause I want to avoid the last one).

You can use the Rb as the Hotspot/gateway. Radios can be connected via ethernet (I have a marina setup like this… RB750G + Deliberant radios). I also have a few “repeaters” that connect to the main AP via WDS. (Think of WDS as wireless ethernet… it will pass the customers MAC address along for auth).

So in short, yes. Your first option is the best.

Hi,

I have almost the same configuration with two bullet M2 radios, and two ISP providers. Is it posible to loadbalancing the ISPs with the RB750?
