Hi,
I have a RB750 for a years, and few years ago I had to repair it and change two 630uF/6,3V capacitors (known issue). After that, RB won’t boot if not powered by higher voltage than 12V.
Few weeks ago, my ADSL line went down and firstly I thought it was may ISP fault. But, investigating, I noticed that when I poweroff my RB750, ADSL goes on. When I power on RB750…it goes down.
As ADSL router and RB750 are close one to other, only explanation is that there is some interference with RB750 and ADSL.
Is that inteference be caused by switching power supply in RB750, same circuit that is responsible for 3,3V and capacitors that are replaced?
And also, I don’t know why RB750 could not be powered with 12V anymore after changing capacitors (changed with 2x470uF)…it seems that voltage on 3,3V line is not enough high, I measure about 3,24 V.
In last 6-7 years I bought 3 Routerboards (RB750, RB750G-2HnD, RB951-2n), and none of them is currently 100% correct (see my other posts). Very bad score for RouterBoards and I’m sceptic to buy a new one.
