RB750 pptp client strange bahavior

hello,

This is the first time I am posting something to this forum. Please excuse me if my question has been already answered.

I am facing a strange behavior when installing PPTP client on a RB750.
The client can’t connect to our PPTP server. (somewhere in Holland)

Same username / password works with a RB951 smoothly without a problem.

At the beggining I thought it was problem with router version.
I upgraded to the latest (v6.29.1).

RB750 still can’t connect.
I backup configuration of RB951 and uploaded it RB750 without any luck.

Copied the exact same configuration to both routers

When I turn on the RB951 everything works smootly.
When i switch off 951 and turn on the rb750 it can’t connect!

It drives me mad!
Mostly because I have the same configuration on a v.5.24 (RB750) and it works!

Any help would be really apreciated

Do you have 2 PPTP clients at the same time? Since PPTP uses the GRE protocol, there are no ports like there is in TCP and UDP. Sooo… If you have two clients behind the same public IP connecting to the same remote IP, the local gateway can only forward the inbound packets to one client.

But turn on logging for PPTP, go to System > Logging, add a rule, Topic=PPTP, Action=Memory

Then try and connect again, what are the messages in the log.
