RB750GL - Internet speed cut in half, no getting full speed

Hello!

I’m a newbie with Mikrotik! Today I find out that I’m getting like half the speed from my ISP. When I do a speed test connecting my pc to one of the port of the RB I’m getting around 56-78mb down 4-8mb up. When I connect my pc directly to the ISP modem I get 148mb/11mb. I check the port and it is connected at 1G full. I try diferente port on the RB as WAN and LAN. I disable all FW rule and try but nothing…

Any advice of what could be going on? What can I do to fix this?

Hi,

The RB750GL is a very low CPU powered device, ideal as a switch but it’s routing performance is not very good. You can attempt to implement fast track which would speed things up as much as possible however you still won’t see miracles.

A newer device such as an RB750Gr3 would probably be a much better solution as that should push 200Mb “easily”.
