I am currently using an RB750GL and our cable modem keeps restarting. We’ve replaced this modem and it continues to happen. I spoke with a tier 3 with the ISP and they said we are pushing voltage to their cable modem over port 1 which is causing their unit to reboot.
How do I disable PoE on the RB750GL? Latest firmware.
go to Ethernet, and choose poe off.
btw, update to latest routeros, and do a upgrade of poe firmware (/system routerboard poe settings)
This worked. Thank you. I have ran a voltage meter on the other end of the cat5e cable coming out of port 1 and no longer reading the voltage of 40-48v.
RB751 doesn’t have PoE output. You probably meant RB750UP?
