RB750Gr2 HW and performance specs

Good day,

Been looking for hardware and performance specifications on my RouterBOARD 750G r2. My device has 720MHz QCA9556 CPU and 64GB RAM, QCA8337 switch chip and 5x Gigabit ports.

I would like to determine whether this device will handle my upgraded ISP bandwidth 500Mbps. Although the current RB750r2 does provide this maximum theoretical throughput, it is limited by its FastEthernet interfaces. I would like to check how far I can push the router I have, or upgrade to newer device also with Gigabit interfaces, ie. RB750Gr3.

I’ve not been able to locate specifications for my device as yet. If anyone has this information, it would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Vernon

Please note: I have reviewed the HW specs for RB750r2 and RB750Gr3 previously.

Thanks for reply. Neither of these is the same product. If I had not made it clear before, I have reviewed the HW specs for RB750r2 and RB750Gr3 previously.

I have a RB750Gr2.

Thank you! Now I understand. Yes MT has removed RB750Gr2 pages.
The MT forums and resellers still have content; examples:

Thanks, the spec sheet does confirm a few details.

Does anyone have some performance results in terms of throughput etc?

750Gr2 might work fine with fasttrack, but not anything fancy running on it.

Thanks for feedback.

Would be great to get specific test results. Or even test procedures, and I’ll test it.

Thanks for the link. Will review.

Is there a specific suggestion implied?

Layer 3 Hardware Offloading features such as routing at wire speed are switch chip model dependent, see Switch Chip Features. Specific Layer 3 features not supported in hardware offloading fall to device CPU and performance falls off a cliff. You can reasonably expect ratios similar to current models with similar CPU and RAM specifications.

Please don’t confuse L3HW with NAT Firewall

Simply get another Hex S for example or better value hap ax3, modern arm64 processor gobs of RAM, USB port and a 1x2.5g port. Set for 10 years…
