today I try a update from 6.35 to 6.35.2, (over “check for updates - Download”) but the download fails with message: “ERROR: not enough disk space, 10,5MiB is required an only 8,9MiB is free”. On the RB750Gr2 I haven’t the possibility to use an USB-Stick as disk.
I have no other files on disk. How can I work around the problem?
And browse the forum about the topics of insufficient disk space when doing upgrade. You will find also other interesting statements of mikrotik. Finally you will go by my way…
Jarda, can you please clarify your way? It is hard to tell from the topics you listed.
Side note: It seems really, really convoluted to need to browse the forum for something as simple as updating the router. I bought this router to learn networking, but all I’ve done is fight with it and routerOS. I am actively looking at other solutions.
-remove all files from the router
-put there system package only of newer ros version (from additional packages zip file)
-reboot
-put there additional packages you need
-reboot
the automatic update function should now have enough space to update in the future.
Use only separate packages from additional packages zip file, do not use the bundle ros package anymore.
