Router does not seem to keep any setting changes I am making. It appears that new settings are there for a short while, but then randomly just revert or clear out. Rebooting the device always clears any changes I had previously made as well. No error messages in the log. Doing a reset configuration with reboot does not work either. Anything else I should check first before attempting netinstall?
Looks like your flash space might be full or close to it ?
Netinstall would be my next step.
Make sure to have export config with all required details.
After netinstall, import config from command line section by section.
Don’t restore from binary backup or you will import the problem again.
I have done netinstall to the device and was able to get a fresh configuration that way. Seems to be working like it should for the moment.
Flash storage looked to be an issue- only 140kb out of 15mb available. That didn’t seem normal to me, but not experienced enough to know for sure. Thought it might be the main problem, but it shows a similar amount after the netinstall and is still working with the limited amount of flash storage available. So I don’t have a definitive reason for the problem I was having, but the problem does not seem to be occurring any longer.
What’s being shown using system/packages ?
Clean Hex shouldn’t be that low on memory.
Sorry, I was incorrect on the amount of remaining space. Looks like it is 4712kb, so thats better.
Ah, that’s more in line.
If you were using WinBox, were you in Safe mode? That might do what you were experiencing (depending on when it was happening).
